Oilers Place Andrew Mangiapane on Waivers
Edmonton Oilers winger Andrew Mangiapane was placed on waivers on Sunday. Mangiapane signed a two-year, $7.2 million contract with the Oilers last summer but has had a disappointing time in Edmonton. He has notched only 14 points (seven goals, seven assists) while going minus-19 across 52 appearances. In 2021-22, Mangiapane scored 35 goals and 55 points with the Calgary Flames. The Oilers can assign Mangiapane to the AHL if he clears waivers. On Sunday, the team also waived defenseman Alec Regula, who has recorded three assists and a minus-16 rating in 29 games.
