Logan Cooley to Miss at Least Eight Weeks
Utah Mammoth center Logan Cooley (lower body) must sit out at least eight weeks of action. He sustained a lower-body injury last week in a game against the Vancouver Canucks. The eight-week timeline suggests Cooley will return just before the Olympics break, but it would not be surprising if he returned after the break, which could give him more time to get back into game shape. Cooley has scored a team-high 14 goals and sits on 23 points through 29 outings. Barrett Hayton has settled into a top-six role during Cooley's absence, although the team may soon consider other options since Hayton is having a miserable season, scoring only one point in his last 18 appearances.
