Boone Jenner Out Long-Term With Upper-Body Injury
Columbus Blue Jackets forward Boone Jenner (upper body) will be out for an extended period. After being hurt on Tuesday night against the Seattle Kraken, Jenner will exit the lineup for Thursday's tilt against the Edmonton Oilers, and it's unclear when he can return to action. Losing their captain is a bitter blow for the Blue Jackets, as Jenner impacts the game in many areas. He has recorded 10 points (three goals, seven assists) and 30 hits in 16 contests this season. In Jenner's absence, Luca Del Bel Belluz will be given an opportunity to play on the first line against Edmonton. Although Del Bel Belluz has had a limited role on the team this season, the 22-year-old has demonstrated potential by scoring nine points (three goals and six assists) in 19 career appearances.
