Vancouver Canucks goaltender Thatcher Demko (undisclosed) has been named the starter for Tuesday's contest against the Winnipeg Jets. Demko was kept out of Vancouver's back-to-back set over the weekend for "preventative maintenance." The American netminder made his last appearance on Nov. 3, improving his record to 5-4-0 with a 5-4 overtime victory against the Nashville Predators. Despite allowing four goals in back-to-back starts, Demko's goals-against average for the season stands at 2.57, while he has registered a .912 save percentage. On Tuesday, Demko takes on a Jets team that has lost three consecutive road games, scoring just two goals during that stretch.--Taavi Pailk
