Thatcher Demko Returns to Canucks Crease Tuesday
Vancouver Canucks goaltender Thatcher Demko (undisclosed) has been named the starter for Tuesday's contest against the Winnipeg Jets. Demko was kept out of Vancouver's back-to-back set over the weekend for "preventative maintenance." The American netminder made his last appearance on Nov. 3, improving his record to 5-4-0 with a 5-4 overtime victory against the Nashville Predators. Despite allowing four goals in back-to-back starts, Demko's goals-against average for the season stands at 2.57, while he has registered a .912 save percentage. On Tuesday, Demko takes on a Jets team that has lost three consecutive road games, scoring just two goals during that stretch.
