Edmonton Oilers defenseman Jake Walman finished Monday's 5-4 overtime win against the Columbus Blue Jackets with three points. Walman scored Edmonton's first goal of the game, tying things at one late in the first period. Yet, the Oilers once again dug themselves a hole and needed to produce a big effort late in the contest to avoid another defeat. Luckily for them, Walman popped up with a short-handed goal inside the final minute of regulation to send the game into overtime. During the extra frame, Walman completed his three-point effort with an assist on Jack Roslovic's fourth goal of the year. This marked already the fourth multi-point effort of the season for Walman. Sitting on 10 points (three goals and seven assists) through 11 appearances, Walman boasts some impressive numbers. However, his offensive performance has been inconsistent, as Walman has finished most of his games (6) with zero points.--Taavi Pailk
