Lions Defense Profiles as a Low-End Starting Unit in Week 10
The Detroit Lions' defense has been a roughly mid-pack unit from a scoring perspective this season, ranking 13th in the NFL by allowing 22.3 points per game. However, Detroit has been able to force 12 turnovers across eight games and features one of the league's premier edge rushers in Aidan Hutchinson, who has recorded seven sacks and 16 QB hits so far in 2025. The Lions will face a banged-up Washington Commanders offense in Week 10. Washington will be starting veteran Marcus Mariota at quarterback with Jayden Daniels (elbow) out due to an elbow injury. Star Commanders wide receiver Terry McLaurin (quad) will also miss Week 10 with a lingering quad issue. It's worth noting that the Lions will remain without All-Pro safety Kerby Joseph (knee) and top cornerback D.J. Reed (hamstring) against Washington. Still, Detroit's D/ST profiles as a low-end starting fantasy unit against the shorthanded Commanders in Week 10.
