Detroit Red Wings right wing Patrick Kane (upper body) won't travel with the team for Tuesday's road game against the St. Louis Blues, Ansar Khan of MLive.com reports. Red Wings head coach Todd McLellan hopes to have the veteran star available later during a five-game road trip. Tuesday's game will mark Kane's fifth consecutive absence. Kane has appeared in only five games this season, scoring two goals and recording five points. Mason Appleton has received opportunities on the top line during Kane's absence, but he's been held scoreless for four consecutive contests.--Taavi Pailk
