Who Should I Pickup for Fantasy Football Week 7? Sterling Shepard, Michael Wilson, Elic Ayomanor, Tez Johnson, Luke McCaffrey, Marvin Mims Jr., Xavier Legette, Tyler Johnson, Josh Reynolds, Zay Jones

Tampa Bay Buccaneers wide receiver Sterling Shepard should be in line for an increase in workload moving forward, with Mike Evans (hamstring), Chris Godwin (fibula), Bucky Irving (shoulder/foot), Jalen McMillan (neck), and now Emeka Egbuka (hamstring) all injured and expected to miss some time.

Sheppard remains one of the few healthy Buccaneer receivers, and his competition for targets includes rookie Tez Johnson, Cade Otton, and Kameron Johnson.

The former Giants wide receiver is the most proven and experienced in that pass-catching room, and heading into what is expected to be a high-scoring affair against the Detroit Lions (53.5 point total according to sportsbooks), should be a solid low-end WR2 play and prioritized on the waiver wires this week.

Tennessee Titans rookie wide receiver Elic Ayomanor has recorded 17 catches for 196 yards and two touchdowns on 34 targets through the first six games of his career.

While the 22-year-old has yet to have a signature breakout game, Ayomanor has been a consistent feature in the Titans' offense and has earned at least five targets in five out of six games. With veteran Titans wideout Calvin Ridley (hamstring) potentially facing missed time due to a hamstring injury, Ayomanor could be poised to take over as the team's WR1 in Week 7 against the New England Patriots.

Tennessee's anemic offense caps Ayomanor's upside, but he should still be rostered in most fantasy leagues and could be a deep-league flex option in Week 7.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers wide receiver Tez Johnson seems to be trending towards a potential breakout game against the Lions in Week 7, since the Bucs will likely need him to take on a larger load due to injuries at the position.

Mike Evans (hamstring), Emeka Egbuka (hamstring), and Chris Godwin Jr. (fibula) are all uncertain this week and likely to be limited if available. Johnson could be the next man up for the Bucs and offers a ton of upside as a big-play specialist against the Lions, when the Bucs will need big plays to keep up with the high-scoring Detroit offense in the Motor City.

Johnson had just one catch for a 45-yard touchdown in Week 6 after snagging four catches for 59 yards in Week 5 in Seattle. His speed and after-the-catch elusiveness give the seventh-round rookie a very high ceiling, although he has never carried the workload of a WR1 this season. He's high-risk but also potentially brings high reward from this week's waiver wire.

Washington Commanders wide receiver Luke McCaffrey recorded his third touchdown catch in his last four games in Week 6 against the Chicago Bears. However, McCaffrey has just eight catches for 179 yards on 10 targets so far this season.

Even with Commanders' wideouts Terry McLaurin (quad) and Noah Brown (groin, knee) having missed multiple weeks due to injury, McCaffrey has not seen more than three targets in any game yet in 2025. The 24-year-old clearly has big-play upside, as evidenced by his 22.4-yard-per-reception average, but his low target volume gives him a low floor.

McCaffrey is worth rostering in the deepest fantasy leagues while McLaurin and Brown remain sidelined, but his utility is likely limited.

Arizona Cardinals wide receiver Zay Jones had by far his most productive game of the season in Week 6 against the Indianapolis Colts, recording five catches for 79 yards on eight targets.

Jones had hauled in just five catches for 37 yards on seven targets across four games heading into Week 6. The 30-year-old's production against Indianapolis was buoyed by the absence of Marvin Harrison Jr. (concussion), who exited Week 6 early due to a concussion.

With Harrison Jr.'s status for Week 7 against the Green Bay Packers in question, Jones could once again be called upon to play a larger role in his team's offense. Pending Harrison Jr.'s availability, Jones could be a deep-league waiver wire option as a short-term fill-in at the wide receiver position.
