Winnipeg Jets center Jonathan Toews (undisclosed) has been placed on Injured Reserve, according to PuckPedia. The veteran forward has been dealing with an undisclosed injury during the preseason. He rejoined practice on Sunday, but it seems like Toews still isn't fully healthy and may skip the start of the season. Adam Lowry (hip), who also landed on Injured Reserve, is a long-term absentee for the Jets, and the team's center depth will be tested early on in the campaign. Vladislav Namestnikov is expected to handle the second-line center duties until Toews returns.--Taavi Pailk
