Kyle Burroughs Placed on Injured Reserve
Los Angeles Kings defenseman Kyle Burroughs (upper body) was placed on Injured Reserve ahead of the season. The 30-year-old sustained an upper-body injury in a preseason matchup against the Utah Mammoth on Sept. 30. The injury will keep Burroughs sidelined for at least one week. Burroughs broke into the NHL only a few years ago and hasn't seen regular action. During the 2024-25 campaign, the Kings utilized Burroughs in only 33 games. He registered three assists, six shots, 14 blocks, 42 hits, and a plus-three rating. Burroughs' injury has left Brandt Clarke and Jacob Moverare competing for the final spot on the Kings' blue line for opening night.
