Winnipeg Jets forward Cole Perfetti (ankle) will not be available for the start of the season and is considered week-to-week, Mitchell Clinton of the Jets' official site reports. The versatile youngster injured his ankle in Friday's preseason finale against the Calgary Flames. According to the NHL media site, the team has placed Perfetti on Injured Reserve. Perfetti's absence could give Nikita Chibrikov a chance to make an impression in a top-six role. The Russian rookie skated on the second line with Gustav Nyquist and Jonathan Toews during Sunday's practice. Chibrikov has already shown flashes of good scoring ability, tallying three goals and four points in his first five NHL games.--Taavi Pailk
