Edmonton Oilers left wing Vasily Podkolzin (personal) is expected to rejoin the team this week. Oilers head coach Kris Knoblauch told reporters on Sunday that Podkolzin will be back in Edmonton on Tuesday night. Last week, Podkolzin took a leave of absence after his father passed away. Knoblauch expects Podkolzin to play in the Oilers' final preseason game on Friday against the Vancouver Canucks. Podkolzin recently landed a three-year, $8.85 million contract extension with the team and is expected to start the season as a top-six forward.--Taavi Pailk
