Josh Naylor Suffering from "Minor Groin Tightness"
Josh Naylor (groin) left his team's game on Friday against the Los Angeles Dodgers due to "minor groin tightness," according to Ryan Divish of The Seattle Times. The Mariners have the American League West and a spot in the American League Division Series locked up, so it wouldn't be a surprise to see Naylor get the final two games of the regular season off. The 28-year-old has been excellent across 604 plate appearances this season, slashing .295/.353/.462 with 20 home runs, 92 RBI, 81 runs scored, and 30 stolen bases. First baseman/outfielder Luke Raley could be the most likely candidate to step in for Naylor in Seattle if he misses time.
