Harrison Smith Could Miss Another Week
The Minnesota Vikings could opt for caution in bringing safety Harrison Smith (illness) back to the field, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport. The veteran safety only recently returned to practice after missing weeks with an undisclosed ailment, and Rapoport indicated it would not be a surprise to see the Vikings keep him out of the Week 2 game against Atlanta. Smith didn't provide specifics about the illness when he met with reporters this week, but said his conditioning would be the key part of his return. For IDP leagues, Theo Jackson and Jay Ward are likely to see their playing time increase if Smith misses another week.
