Fantasy Football Injury Reports For NFL WRs: Week 2 Updates for Puka Nacua, Malik Nabers, Drake London, Xavier Worthy, Jauan Jennings, Jayden Reed, Chris Godwin

Jauan Jennings - Fantasy Football Rankings, NFL Injury News, DFS Lineup Picks

WR fantasy football injury updates and reports for wide receivers in Week 2 (2025), as of September 10, including Puka Nacua, Malik Nabers, Drake London, Xavier Worthy, Jauan Jennings, Chris Godwin, more.

Week 1 is now in the books, and it's time to look forward to Week 2. One of the first things you should do when preparing for a new week for fantasy football is, of course, to check injury updates and try to make moves to address holes in your starting lineups that could appear due to injuries.

There were plenty of injuries to monitor ahead of Week 1, and that remains the case for the second week of the 2025 season. A lot of the players who were originally hurt got healthy and played full games, but in-season ailments are different -- and often more serious.

There are a lot of big names, as well as more fringe-valued players, on this list, but there are plenty of people in deeper leagues who have deep rostership of these players, as well as in dynasty leagues, so this article is for everyone. Let's dive in!

Be sure to check all of our fantasy football rankings for 2025:

Puka Nacua Injury Update

Nacua (head) should be fine. He briefly left his Week 1 contest to be evaluated for a concussion, but cleared his tests and returned to the game. He suffered a wound to his forehead that was patched, and he played the rest of the game with some kind of bandaging covering the cut.

It's not like it stopped him from having another huge day. Against the Houston Texans, one of the NFL's best pass defenses, he caught 10 of his 11 targets for 130 yards despite missing significant snaps. The injury shouldn't affect him moving forward. He's an elite WR1.

Malik Nabers Injury Update

Nabers (back) is dealing with a back injury. He popped up on the injury report with this aliment in the offseason, and it's persisted, though he seems to be playing through the aliment without much issue that we can see. He played 94 percent of his team's offensive snaps in Week 1.

This is another health issue for which we don't have much more information. Nabers is now dealing with a persistent toe injury and his back aliment, and it's unclear how healthy he'll be going forward. We could see him on the injury report in several subsequent weeks, if not for the whole season.

Still, it doesn't look like he's in danger of missing time. He hauled in five of his 12 targets in Week 1 for 71 yards. Perhaps his lack of performance is more due to the quarterback situation and the offense in general being poor than his injuries, though.

Drake London Injury Update

London (shoulder) suffered a shoulder sprain in his team's Week 1 game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. He was targeted 15 times, but hauled in just eight of those for 55 yards. It's reported that he doesn't have a major injury and is considered "day-to-day" right now, so that's good news.

Obviously, there's concern that he'll miss at least one game due to his ailment. We'll need to wait a bit longer and see how things go. He could end up being a game-time decision, so be sure to stay updated as the situation progresses.

London's injury was serious enough to have him ruled out of the game, which makes me think the team was concerned about a possible reinjury. That's enough to have me moderately concerned about his availability for Week 2, but we'll see how things go.

Xavier Worthy Injury Update

In what seems to be becoming a scary trend for the Chiefs, another teammate-on-teammate collision took out the team's top starting wide receiver. In a mishap reminiscent of quarterback Patrick Mahomes diving to make a tackle and inadvertently colliding with and tearing WR Rashee Rice's ACL, tight end Travis Kelce collided with Worthy and injured his shoulder.

Worthy thus suffered a shoulder dislocation. This can be a serious injury, but we don't have much information about when his return might come. Chiefs head coach Andy Reid was noncommittal, stating that the second-year pro was rehabbing his shoulder.

Until we have better information from the Chiefs organization, it's tough to ascertain when he'll come back. He hasn't been placed on injured reserve, so there's hope that he won't miss more than three weeks. But if you drafted him, you should have a replacement in mind for your lineups for Week 2.

Jauan Jennings Injury Update

Jennings (shoulder) is dealing with some type of shoulder ailment. He was pulled from the game in the second half after suffering the injury. Scans of his shoulder didn't reveal serious ailments, though, so he may be able to play again in Week 2.

He's considered day-to-day now. This is another player for whom you'll have to check back for more updates. There might be extra motivation for him to take the field, as the team will now be without its two top pass-catchers, Brandon Aiyuk (knee) and George Kittle (hamstring).

Jayden Reed Injury Update

Reed (foot) continues to be limited in practices this season. It was revealed that he has a Jones fracture in his foot. Yet, instead of opting for surgery, he's playing through the injury this year. Managing his practice reps and rehabbing what he can is now his focus.

Reed, according to many Packers reporters, appears to be playing at less than 100 percent. His injury will not go away without surgery, and he's clearly not opted to have that this season. Perhaps he will after the 2025 season, but this will be an ailment to track throughout the year. It could be reaggravated or flare up at any time and cause him to miss games.

Chris Godwin Injury Update

Godwin (ankle) continues to rehab the dislocated and/or broken ankle he suffered early last season. There isn't much to update here -- he still appears to be targeting a return around Week 5 or Week 6. It seems unlikely that he'll return sooner than that, but we could always be surprised, of course.

Christian Kirk Injury Update

Kirk (hamstring) missed his team's Week 1 game with a hamstring injury. The Texans didn't perform well without him, but hamstring ailments can't be rushed. It was initially reported that he'd likely miss at least the first two weeks, but that the team would be "cautious" about managing his injury.

You should probably prepare for him to miss at least one more contest. If he is brought back early, there's a high risk of him reaggravating the issue. We've also seen players effectively have "decoy" games while rehabbing a hamstring issue, and be targeted very little.

Matthew Golden Injury Update

Golden (ankle) caught just two passes for 16 yards in his NFL debut against the Detroit Lions. It's possible he could have been dealing with an ankle injury, but it's behind him now, apparently -- he practiced in full during the Packers' Tuesday walkthrough.

It doesn't appear that this issue will cause him to miss any time.

Darnell Mooney Injury Update

Mooney (shoulder) was ruled out of the game ahead of his Week 1 contest. It remains to be seen if he'll be able to suit up in Week 2, but it's unlikely. The Falcons indicated that he'd miss more than one game. It remains to be seen how much time he'll miss.

But the team didn't place him on injured reserve, which is often a move squads make when they know a player will miss at least four weeks and possibly more, meaning that a three-week absence for Mooney remains a possibility. Be sure to stay updated on this one, especially as Week 4 draws closer.

A return by Week 5 at the latest is a strong possibility.
