Alex Lange Activated From 60-Day Injured List
Alex Lange (lat) from the 60-day injured list on Monday and optioned left-hander Bailey Horn to Triple-A Toledo in a corresponding move, according to Tigers PR. Lange will be available for Monday's series opener against the Houston Astros and will be making his season debut when he enters a game. The 29-year-old had right-lat sugery last July and has not pitched in a major-league game since last May. Lange had a couple of setbacks with his lat in the minor leagues, but he was looking good of late on the farm and will now give Detroit's bullpen more experience and length at the back end for the rest of the season. He had a career-high 26 saves in 66 innings in 2023 for the Tigers, but given his extended absence, fantasy managers should expect him to be eased in. Right now, Kyle Finnegan and Will Vest are co-closers for the Tigers.
