Mac Jones Throws For 135 Yards In Win
Mac Jones was a crisp 13-for-16 for 135 passing yards in the 49ers' 22-19 win over the Raiders on Saturday afternoon. Jones got off to a shaky start after taking the reins from Brock Purdy, who helmed San Francisco's first drive. On his third pass attempt of the game, Jones sent a ball to wide receiver Robbie Chosen, but the route was easily jumped by Raiders safety Jeremy Chinn, who intercepted the pass. Jones recovered well following the miscue, putting touch on his passes and hitting receivers in stride before handing things over to Carter Bradley in the fourth quarter. Jones' place as Purdy's direct backup on San Francisco's depth chart is secure. He will get one more chance to see live action before the regular season in the 49ers' final preseason game on August 23 against the Los Angeles Chargers.
