Jaylen Wright Productive in Preseason Opener
Jaylen Wright carried the ball nine times for 16 yards and a touchdown while not getting targeted in the passing game in a 24-24 tie with the Chicago Bears in preseason action on Sunday. Wright mixed in with the first team on the Dolphins' first drive as he rotated with De'Von Achane early in the game. He appears ticketed for the short-yardage and goal-line work for Miami as he saw three straight carries from inside the five-yard line on the team's first drive of the game and later punched in a seven-yard score in the second quarter. Wright is battling to be the team's RB2 behind Achane after a quiet rookie season in 2024, a role that would give him plenty of fantasy value as a handcuff later in drafts. He will get his next chance to make an impression on Saturday in the Dolphins' second preseason game against the Detroit Lions.
