Cincinnati Bengals rookie guard Dylan Fairchild was a notable performer in the team's first preseason game on Thursday night against the Philadelphia Eagles, according to Paul Dehner Jr. of The Athletic. Dehner Jr. writes that Fairchild solidified his status as the Bengals' Week 1 starter at left guard. A third-round pick out of Georgia, Fairchild won two national championships in college as a member of the Bulldogs. He appears to be pushing Cordell Volson, who made 15 starts in 2024, out of the left guard spot in Cincinnati. The Bengals have struggled with interior offensive line play in recent seasons, so Fairchild's presence could help pave the way to big seasons for quarterback Joe Burrow and running back Chase Brown.--Will Brady
