Jameson Taillon Making Another Rehab Start on Friday
Jameson Taillon (calf) is making another minor-league rehab start on Friday with Triple-A Iowa, according to Taylor McGregor of Watch Marquee. The Cubs wanted to see Taillon make another start down on the farm after he surrendered seven runs in just three innings of work in his last rehab start. If the 33-year-old veteran looks better and comes out of Friday's start without suffering a setback, it's very possible he'll be activated from the injured list in order to rejoin Chicago's starting rotation for the stretch run. The former first-rounder by the Pittsburgh Pirates in 2010 has been inconsistent this year in his 17 starts at the big-league level and offers minimal fantasy upside with a 7.0 K/9 in 95 1/3 innings. Taillon has a 4.44 ERA, 1.11 WHIP and 74:20 K:BB on the year in his third season on the North Side.
