Giancarlo Stanton, DJ LeMahieu Sitting on Wednesday
Giancarlo Stanton and infielder DJ LeMahieu are both out of the starting lineup for Wednesday's contest against the visiting Los Angeles Angels. Outfielder Jasson Dominguez is serving as the DH and batting eighth, while Oswald Peraza makes the start at second base and is hitting in the nine-hole against Angels right-hander Jack Kochanowicz. Stanton made his 2025 debut on Monday and hit the ground running, going 4-for-8 with a double and a strikeout in the first two games of the series against the Halos. The 35-year-old right-handed slugger will serve as the Yankees' primary DH the rest of the way as long as he stays healthy, and it looks like he's already locked in at the plate. LeMahieu could use a break, as he has just one hit in 14 at-bats in his last six games. He has two homers and is hitting .244 (20-for-82) on the year.
