Brandin Cooks 2025 Fantasy Football Outlook: Defeated by Father Time
Brandin Cooks has much more to give. However, because the former first-round pick entered the NFL at just 21 years old, he's already going into his 12th season. Cooks signed a two-year deal with the Saints this offseason, which is less than ideal for multiple reasons. While a reunion with the team that drafted him makes for a good story, Cooks is a shell of the player he was 10 years ago and has also had his share of injuries. In his second and final season with the Cowboys in 2024, Cooks missed seven games with a knee injury that required surgery. And when he did play, Cooks posted 26 catches for 259 yards and three touchdowns - the worst output of his career. And in New Orleans, Cooks will be the WR3 behind youngsters Chris Olave and Rashid Shaheed. Worse, either rookie quarterback Tyler Shough or second-year signal caller Spencer Rattler is expected to be the Saints' Week 1 starter following Derek Carr's retirement.
