Detroit Tigers shortstop prospect Bryce Rainer went 3-for-5 with a walk, a double, a home run, four RBI, and two runs scored on Sunday for Single-A Lakeland. It's the second straight game with a home run for the 19-year-old, who is now riding a five-game hit streak. The Tigers' 2024 first-round draft pick is showing well in his first taste of professional baseball, slashing .279/.381/.471 while flashing power (five home runs), speed (seven steals), and a good eye at the plate (14.3 percent BB%). At this rate, a look at High-A appears to be in the cards before the season is out, however, he's still a couple of years away from the majors. The 6-foot-3 slugger is a prospect to monitor as he climbs the ladder, currently coming in at MLB.com's 47th-ranked prospect.--Jarod Rupp - RotoBallerRead More News
