Thomas White Dealing with Finger Injury
Thomas White (finger) is dealing with soreness in his left index finger. This injury has caused him to miss his previous two scheduled outings. Isaac Azout of FishOnFirst reported that White is currently on a throwing program. If White continues to progress well, he could be in the mix to return to action in the coming weeks. The 20-year-old is currently considered the top prospect in Miami and the No. 34-ranked prospect in the sport on MLB.com. Through his first 25 innings of work this season, White has posted a 3.24 ERA with a 1.32 WHIP at High-A. During this stint, White has struck out 37 batters and served up 16 free passes. If White returns to action soon, he could be in the mix to move up to Double-A later this season.
