Chris Bassitt Records Quality Start Against Padres
Chris Bassitt was solid in a 3-0 win over the Padres on Tuesday, pitching six shutout innings while striking out six. He allowed four hits and walked one. This was his third quality start of the year, and it was nice to see him go six innings. He has started the sixth inning and been pulled without finishing it on five separate occasions this year, which hurts in leagues that reward quality starts. Still, he's been great this season as a whole, posting a 2.83 ERA with 61 strikeouts and 11 walks in 57 ⅓ innings. His next start is lined up to be against the Rays on the road.
