Sandy Alcantara Allows Four Runs In Loss
Sandy Alcantara is not having a ton of success on the mound right now. He took an 8.42 ERA into Sunday's game against the Chicago White Sox. Alcantara threw 5 2/3 innings, allowing four earned runs on seven hits while striking out eight batters. To be fair, Alcantara didn't pitch that bad as a majority of the damage was done on a three-run home run by Tim Elko. The fact Alcantara struck out eight batters did give fantasy managers some value from this outing. The right-hander will need to figure it out in order for the Marlins to get a decent return on Alcantara, assuming they wish to trade him at the deadline. The right-hander will look to get back on track against the Tampa Bay Rays during his next start.
