The Los Angeles Rams "are still involved in a potential trade" for Miami Dolphins cornerback Jalen Ramsey, according to ESPN's Jeremy Fowler. In fact, Fowler explains that the Rams' interest in Ramsey is one reason why they didn't select a cornerback in last month's NFL Draft. The veteran defender has reportedly been available for several weeks, with Miami expected to trade or release him by the end of June. The Dolphins' decision to move on from Ramsey stems from his contract, which includes a $16.67 million cap hit this season. If Miami trades him before June 1, they would take on $25.2 million in dead money while saving $8.6 million against the cap. Trading him after June 1 would provide greater financial relief with $6.7 million in dead money and $9.9 million in savings. Fowler notes that prospective trade partners are worried about Ramsey's $24 million in guarantees, and the Dolphins have been hesitant to cover a portion of the bill. As a result, the impasse continues. However, Los Angeles is certainly interested, and we've seen other contenders like the Ravens linked to Ramsey, too. The 30-year-old is a seven-time Pro Bowler and three-time First-Team All-Pro. He has 24 career interceptions and won a Super Bowl with the Rams in 2022.--Andersen Pickard - RotoBaller
