Jacob Wilson Posts Third Straight Multi-Hit Game
Jacob Wilson continued to impress at the plate during Monday evening's victory over the Seattle Mariners. In this game, Wilson went 3-for-6 with three RBI. He hit a game-tying RBI single in the 10th inning, which scored outfielder JJ Bleday. Later in the 11th, Wilson would tally the game-winning RBI single, which scored first baseman/outfielder Tyler Soderstrom. This was also Wilson's third-straight game tallying at least two hits. Over his last 10 contests, the former sixth overall pick has posted an impressive .366/.422/.439 slash line. However, during this stretch, he hit just one extra-base hit (a home run). Through his first 34 games this season, the rookie shortstop has continued to flash upside, posting a .341/.364/.452 slash line. He will look to stay hot on Tuesday, facing Seattle right-hander Emerson Hancock.
