Raiders Considering Drafting A Quarterback
Geno Smith under center for the 2025 season. They traded for Smith this offseason and signed him to a two-year, $75 million deal as well. Despite that, Raiders general manager John Spytek said he is open minded when it comes to drafting a quarterback during the upcoming NFL Draft. It wouldn't be shocking to see the Raiders add a quarterback to develop behind Smith for a season or two. However, fans shouldn't expect the Raiders to use the No. 6 overall pick on a quarterback. It seems like the Raiders are heavy favorites to draft running back Ashton Jeanty in that spot. Possibly, the Raiders draft a quarterback later, but that person shouldn't compete with Smith for the starting job in 2025.
