New York Islanders left wing Anthony Duclair has decided to take some time away from the team. The decision follows harsh criticism of Duclair from Islanders head coach Patrick Roy after Tuesday's 4-1 loss to the Tampa Bay Lightning. "He was god-awful," Roy said. "He was god-awful. He had a bad game. That's why I didn't play him a lot. And he's lucky to be in the lineup. Sorry if I lose it on him right now, but that's how I feel." Duclair signed a four-year, $14 million contract with the Islanders last offseason but has struggled massively throughout the season. He has recorded only 11 points (seven goals, four assists) in 44 outings. Maxim Tsyplakov, who boasts 31 points (eight goals, 23 assists) through 69 games, took Duclair's spot on the second line in Thursday's practice.--Taavi Pailk
