Who Should I Start for Fantasy Football Week 16? David Njoku, T.J. Hockenson, Jake Ferguson

David Njoku - Fantasy Football Rankings, Draft Sleepers, Waiver Wire

Who should I start for Week 16? Fantasy football outlooks for David Njoku, T.J. Hockenson, Jake Ferguson. Our expert fantasy football start 'em, sit 'em picks.

Tight ends are the bane of many fantasy football managers, and for good reason. It's very difficult to find consistent producers at the position, and with so many aspects of various teams in fluid states, it requires research to make the best decisions each week.

The Cleveland Browns, Minnesota Vikings, and Dallas Cowboys have dealt with various levels of inconsistency throughout the season. Whether due to injuries, quarterback play, or strings of matchups, this has affected the fantasy production of each TE.

So let's look at three TEs and speculate which are worth starting in week 16.

Should I Start David Njoku for Fantasy Football?

The benching of quarterback Jameis Winston for backup Dorian Thompson-Robinson strikes a huge blow to the fantasy football values of all the Browns' pass-catchers. While the floor and ceiling are typically lower for tight ends, it still doesn't help Njoku (hamstring). And that's if he plays at all.

It looks as if he may not play, but if he does, he's still a player you want to start. He's an elite athlete and a great player at his position. The problem always seems to be something other than him, though.

Should I Start T.J. Hockenson for Fantasy Football?

Yes. He's on a great offense with a quarterback who's playing well, and while he's not quite the elite option he was last year, he's recovered well from his ACL tear from 2023. He caught five of his seven targets for 52 yards last week.

Target competition can be an issue, but you should start him anyway because he's a very good TE on a good offense. It's that simple.

Should I Start Jake Ferguson for Fantasy Football?

It might not be the greatest idea. Ferguson hasn't scored double-digit PPR fantasy points in any of his last four games, and he's averaging just 4.25 points over that span.

The good old days are over for him, for the rest of 2024 at least. Without his QB1, Dak Prescott (hamstring), Fergie hasn't been startable at all. So we recommend you look elsewhere for Week 16.
