Travis Etienne, Jeremy McNichols, Braelon Allen: Start ‘Em, Sit ‘Em Picks for Fantasy Football Week 13

Travis Etienne Jr. - Fantasy Football Rankings, Draft Sleepers, NFL Injury News

Should I start Travis Etienne, Jeremy McNichols, Braelon Allen for Week 13? Fantasy football start em, sit em picks and recommendations for the 2024 NFL season.

It's Week 13, which marks the second-to-last game before the fantasy football playoffs for many teams. We've reached the make-or-break portion of the fantasy football season, meaning these games have outsized importance.

If you have injuries to any running backs in your lineups, chances are you may need to consider starting one of the players in this article.

Let's break down the situations for each and whether they should be started or benched!

Should I Start Jeremy McNichols for Fantasy Football?

Washington Commanders running back Jeremy McNichols is absolutely worth starting if both RBs ahead of him on the depth chart, Brian Robinson Jr. (ankle) and Austin Ekeler (concussion) aren't on the field. Washington's offensive coordinator, Kliff Kingsbury, has generally put together an excellent rushing attack.

Ekeler suffered his second concussion of the season in Week 12. He's extremely unlikely to play this week. We may see Robinson, though, but it's possible he could be limited. McNichols is a smash start if he's the lead healthy back, but BRob's presence significantly dents his value. He's not worth starting outside of very deep leagues in that case.

He gets a lot of work as the backup in blowout games, but the opposing Tennessee Titans this week just beat the Houston Texans in Week 12. They have a solid defense and an offense that's emerging.

He is the RB24 in our half-PPR consensus staff rankings.

Should I Start Braelon Allen for Fantasy Football?

New York Jets running back Braelon Allen is someone you should start if the lead back of the team, Breece Hall (knee), isn't able to go. If Hall can play, there's a chance he could be limited, but it's more likely that it's a committee backfield with the veteran taking most of the touches. Allen's work has been hard to predict in these situations.

They'll face the Seattle Seahawks, who are weak against the run. We'd bench Allen if Hall plays, but if not, Allen should be started in all leagues.

He is the RB53 in our half-PPR consensus staff rankings.

Should I Start Travis Etienne Jr. for Fantasy Football?

Jacksonville Jaguars running back Travis Etienne Jr. has been extremely disappointing for fantasy football this season. And it looks like his "backup", Tank Bigsby (ankle) will be healthy, as he practiced in full Wednesday.

They're set to face a very tough Houston Texans run defense in Week 13. It's not worth starting Etienne, as crazy as that would have sounded before the start of the season. Bigsby is a better runner, and JAX has a terrible defense, so a shootout could easily happen.

He is the RB35 in our half-PPR consensus staff rankings.
