Jalen McMillan fantasy football start 'em, sit 'em picks for Week 9 (2024). Should you start or sit Jalen McMillan for fantasy football lineups?
BALLER MOVE: Sit in All Leagues
POSITIONAL VALUE: WR5
ANALYSIS: Jalen McMillan stepped up in Week 8, leading the Tampa Bay Buccaneers' receiving corps with eight targets. He only caught four for 35 yards and did not find the end zone.
The absence of Chris Godwin (out for the season) and Mike Evans (also out in Week 8) clearly helped his target share, but tight end Cade Otton capitalized on the missing stars.
Huge rookie mistake by Jalen McMillan, who would have walked in for a huge TD if he turns around on this earlier. pic.twitter.com/n0pEUBtZ9Z

McMillan has shown decent volume with 15 targets over the past two games but has yet to make big plays out of those opportunities.
This week, Tampa Bay faces a tough Kansas City Chiefs defense that has given up the seventh-fewest fantasy points to wide receivers. With Evans returning at some point and others like Trey Palmer and Sterling Shepard in the mix, McMillan's upside in this matchup is limited.
He is worth stashing for now if he still sees targets, but this is not the week to bet on him as a starter. Keep him on the bench unless you are in a pinch.
