Grant Calcaterra fantasy football start 'em, sit 'em picks for Week 8 (2024). Should you start or sit Grant Calcaterra for fantasy football lineups?
BALLER MOVE: Start in 14+ Team Leagues
POSITIONAL VALUE: TE2
ANALYSIS: Grant Calcaterra has stepped up for the Philadelphia Eagles in the absence of Dallas Goedert, who is dealing with a hamstring injury. Goedert has yet to practice this week and will likely miss the game against the Cincinnati Bengals.
In Week 6, Calcaterra caught all four of his targets for 67 yards, showcasing his potential when given the opportunity. However, he had a quieter game last Sunday, managing only one catch on one target for five yards.

With Goedert likely out again, Calcaterra should see increased involvement this weekend. The Bengals have been generous to opposing tight ends, giving up the third-most fantasy points per game to the position. Matchups are crucial when considering tight ends to start this week, and Calcaterra's is favorable.
Given this information, he should be viewed as a high-end TE2 with upside. He is a recommended start in larger leagues, but fantasy managers in standard leagues should leave him on the bench.
