Ricky Pearsall fantasy football start 'em, sit 'em picks for Week 8 (2024). Should you start or sit Ricky Pearsall for fantasy football lineups?
BALLER MOVE: Start in 14+ Team PPR leagues
POSITIONAL VALUE: WR3/WR4
ANALYSIS: Whether or not San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Ricky Pearsall has a good day will likely be dependent on opportunity, and he'll have more of it if either of his fellow WRs Deebo Samuel (wrist/illness) or Jauan Jennings (hip) aren't able to play in Week 8. With star WR Brandon Aiyuk (knee) out for the season, Pearsall will have at least somewhat of a role.

He's a talented football player, but head coach Kyle Shanahan prefers not to use rookies heavily if he can help it. However, Jennings is dealing with a hip issue and missed practice on both Wednesday and Thursday. San Francisco will have to lean on Samuel and Pearsall as their top WRs in case No. 15's hip doesn't heal up quickly.
Samuel was limited Thursday and looks to have a much better chance playing. It remains to be seen how targets will be distributed in the new pecking order, but Pearsall could flirt with WR3/FLEX status if Jennings doesn't play. Otherwise, he's a WR4 only worth starting in deeper leagues.
