Tank Dell, DeMario Douglas, Romeo Doubs: Start ‘Em, Sit ‘Em Picks for Fantasy Football Week 7

Demario Douglas - Fantasy Football Rankings, Waiver Wire Pickups, Draft Sleepers

Should I start Tank Dell, DeMario Douglas, or Romeo Doubs for Week 7? Fantasy football start em, sit em picks and recommendations for the 2024 NFL season.

In fantasy football, there are a ton of factors that play into wide receiver scoring potential every week. Many players points scored vary so much week to week that gaining an edge in knowing who to start can be a week-winning decision.

A dive into many WRs' stats will show you games where they hardly broke five points just one week after a huge performance. For example, Tampa Bay Buccaneers wide receiver Mike Evans scored just 5.4 PPR fantasy points in Week 6 after putting up 23.4 and 23.2 in Weeks 4 and 5.

Here at RotoBaller we try our best to give you the best advice for who to start and sit. It can't always be perfect, but hopefully the insight is valuable to you, and you can learn things that will help you moving forward.

Be sure to check all of our fantasy football rankings for 2025:

Should I Start Tank Dell Jr. for Fantasy Football?

With the absence of Nico Collins (hamstring), who is on injured reserve, Houston Texans wide receiver Tank Dell earned a season-high nine targets in Week 6, catching seven for 57 yards and a touchdown, good for 18.7 PPR fantasy points. He's facing a Green Bay Packers defense in Week 7 that gives up a middle-of-the-pack level of scoring to opposing wide receivers.

He should probably be started in every game that Collins doesn't play in. Dell's role was frustrating to start the season -- the Texans signed Stefon Diggs, and Dell was the third priority for targets after the first two receivers. It's likely the roles go back to being the same as long as running back Joe Mixon stays healthy.

Houston runs a lot of personnel groups with two tight ends, meaning there can only be two WRs on the field if an RB is in play. Of course, Houston prefers to keep Mixon on the field, meaning Dell gets less opportunities. With Collins out, the former Houston Cougar was often the odd man out in these scenarios.

He's a great play this weekend and should continue to see high target volume. This game could be a shootout, so he's a must-start.

He's the WR24 in our half-PPR consensus staff rankings.

Should I Start Demario Douglas for Fantasy Football?

After coming off a career game in which he caught six passes on nine targets for 92 yards and one touchdown, New England Patriots wide receiver DeMario Douglas gets the pleasure of facing one of the NFL's worst pass defenses. The Patriots will face the Jacksonville Jaguars in Week 7.

Jacksonville has allowed 43.9 PPR fantasy points per game to wide receivers this season, second-most in the NFL. They haven't had answers for any of the WRs they've faced. Douglas is an excellent route-runner who excels against man coverage, and the Jags like running it a lot.

Also, new starting quarterback Drake Maye is extremely mobile and capable of escaping pressure with his legs and scrambling to buy more time to hit his receivers. The Jaguars defense has had no answers for this so far. "Pop" is the clear No. 1 WR for this team as well, and head coach Jerod Mayo wants to give him more opportunities.

He's a fantastic start this week, especially in PPR formats.

He's the WR31 in our half-PPR consensus staff rankings.

Should I Start Romeo Doubs for Fantasy Football?

Of the three players on this list, Green Bay Packers wide receiver Romeo Doubs is the least appealing to set in your fantasy lineups. He did have 19.9 PPR fantasy points in Week 6, but touchdowns can evaporate quickly in this league, as we saw with Los Angeles Chargers wide receiver Quentin Johnston.

Packers head coach Matt LaFleur runs a somewhat predictable offense in that he likes to spread the ball around. Doubs and fellow WRs Christian Watson (ankle), Jayden Reed (ankle) and Dontayvion Wicks (shoulder) all get the ball a few times per game. Reed is hyper-efficient with his touches (yardage-wise) but the others aren't as much.

This makes Doubs a very risky start week-to-week. Remember that he didn't have double-digit fantasy points in any game until Week 6. If he needs two touchdowns to make that happen, it's probably not happening most weeks.

He's probably better off on the bench in 12-team leagues, but while Green Bay's offense spreading the ball around is predictable, the players who get end-zone targets is tougher to guess, so he could always have a nice day.

He's the WR36 in our half-PPR consensus staff rankings.
