Yordan Alvarez Back In Action On Monday
Yordan Alvarez (neck) is back in left field and is hitting second on Monday for the series opener against the Philadelphia Phillies and right-hander Zack Wheeler at Citizens Bank Park in a matchup of last year's World Series. Alvarez returns to the lineup after missing the last three games with neck discomfort. The 27-year-old's injury was never considered serious, as evidenced by the fact that he's back playing the outfield to begin the new week. Alvarez is a must-start in all fantasy lineups and is currently riding an 18-game on-base streak in which he has gone .364/.475/.652 with five home runs. The matchup against Wheeler isn't great, but Alvarez does have two hits in his only two career at-bats against him. The left-handed Cuban slugger is hitting over .300 for the year with 25 home runs and 67 RBI in 451 at-bats.
