Yordan Alvarez Back In Action On Monday
4 months agoHouston Astros outfielder/designated hitter Yordan Alvarez (neck) is back in left field and is hitting second on Monday for the series opener against the Philadelphia Phillies and right-hander Zack Wheeler at Citizens Bank Park in a matchup of last year's World Series. Alvarez returns to the lineup after missing the last three games with neck discomfort. The 27-year-old's injury was never considered serious, as evidenced by the fact that he's back playing the outfield to begin the new week. Alvarez is a must-start in all fantasy lineups and is currently riding an 18-game on-base streak in which he has gone .364/.475/.652 with five home runs. The matchup against Wheeler isn't great, but Alvarez does have two hits in his only two career at-bats against him. The left-handed Cuban slugger is hitting over .300 for the year with 25 home runs and 67 RBI in 451 at-bats.
