Adam Thielen 2024 Outlook – Veteran Will Not Monopolize The Carolina Targets Again
Bryce Young did not have many other options to throw to. Thielen had 52 more targets than the next closest receiver on the team since Panthers pass catchers suffered with injuries and inconsistency. That will not be the case in 2024. Carolina made it a point to upgrade its receiving corps and tight end troops. Former Pittsburgh Steeler Diontae Johnson was brought in and rookie Xavier Legette was drafted in the first round, so Thielen's target total will certainly drop. Texas tight end Ja'Tavion Sanders was also drafted and could cut into Thielen's touches as well. With Thielen turning 34 before the season starts and now having stiff competition for Young's attention, his fantasy numbers will take a significant hit. Johnson will become Carolina's WR1 and Thielen will slide into the WR2 role. He will probably fail to reach the 1,000-yard mark in 2024 and might not be a top-40 fantasy WR in the end.
