Gameweek 23 Rankings - Fantasy Premier League Predictions, Tips, and Picks for 2023/24

FPL Gameweek 23 rankings, predictions, tips, and picks for Fantasy Premier League lineups. RotoBaller's EPL fantasy Gameweek 23 rankings for the 2023/24 FPL season.

Welcome to Gameweek 23, RotoBallers! This is our third year covering FPL, and we are bringing you more coverage than ever. We publish two weekly articles: a staff roundtable preview and our weekly rankings. Then, once a month, we have our newest report, The Watchlist, a review of the previous month and a look ahead to the upcoming fixtures.

Twenty-two gameweeks down, 16 to go. Gameweek 22 ended last night, but there's no rest for the wicked in Fantasy Premier League as Gameweek 23 begins tomorrow. Liverpool and Man City rolled in midweek and must be the offenses to target moving forward, especially with a confirmed Double Gameweek 25 for City and Brentford. Watch for any news regarding a double gameweek for Liverpool, Luton, or Bournemouth before the Gameweek 23 deadline.

The Fantasy Premier League Gameweek 23 deadline is 6:00 a.m. EST on Saturday, February 3, when Everton battles Tottenham. Also, look out for the rest of our excellent soccer coverage as the squad gets you all set for every English Premier League, Major League Soccer, and UEFA Champions League slate from a DFS and betting perspective.

Fantasy Premier League - Gameweek 23 Rankings

Our weekly rankings highlight players who could be worth a punt in your Fantasy Premier League squad. While the rankings will be filled with familiar names, a low-owned player with an easy fixture will rise up the one-week charts. For each gameweek, we will provide our top-15 goalkeepers, defenders, midfielders, and forwards. These can also be applied as DFS rankings for your weekend contests.

Gameweek 22 Fantasy Premier League High Scorers

  • Goalkeeper: Jordan Pickford, Everton - 10 points
  • Defender: Conor Bradley, Liverpool - 21 points
  • Midfielder: Michael Olise, Crystal Palace - 16 points
  • Forward: Elijah Adebayo, Luton - 17 points

FPL Goalkeepers - Gameweek 23 Rankings

  • Martin Dubravka survived the January transfer window and remains the first-choice goalkeeper at Newcastle. If the Slovakian shot-stopper is in your FPL squad, he's a must-start player versus Luton at home. Despite some shaky defensive performances in recent gameweeks, Newcastle still owns the second-best defensive record at home in the Premier League. Meanwhile, Luton Town has generated the second-fewest expected goals (8.2 xG) away from home in its 10 road fixtures.

FPL Defenders - Gameweek 23 Rankings

  • Jan Paul van Hecke isn't the flashiest name in FPL, but he needs to be in more squads. The Brighton defender is in 2.6 percent of teams, but he's started 12 consecutive Premier League ties for the Seagulls, costing only £4.0m. Brighton welcomes Crystal Palace to the AMEX stadium on Saturday, and van Hecke could have his breakout performance. The Dutch defender has registered at least 0.2 xG in two of the last four games, and Crystal Palace has conceded the seventh-most headed attempts this season.

FPL Midfielders - Gameweek 23 Rankings

  • Blank Gameweek 26 is on the horizon. Chelsea, Liverpool, Luton, and Tottenham will skip a fixture due to the conflicts with the Carabao Cup final. Still, if you already have Richarlison in your lineup, he's a fantastic fantasy option for Gameweek 23. The Brazilian ball striker thrives under Ange ball and has scored seven goals in the last seven games. Everton is a fine defense, but this is a revenge game for the former Toffee, and it's a safe bet he'll want to make it eight in eight versus his former club.

FPL Forwards - Gameweek 23 Rankings

  • Erling Haaland returned to the pitch in Gameweek 22 and needs to be a priority transfer for FPL managers. The Norwegian has been sidelined since Gameweek 16 and is still tied for the league lead with 14 goals. Even in a 19-minute cameo versus Burnley, Haaland had two or three good looks at goal. Hopefully, those 20 minutes were enough to shake off the rust, and he can get back on the scoresheet in Gameweek 23 versus Brentford and its third-worst home defense.
