DraftKings CFB DFS Lineup Picks: Daily College Fantasy Football (11/17/23)

Cameron Ward - College Football Rankings, NCAA CFB DFS Lineup Picks

We have our own version of Friday night lights here. This is the last dedicated Friday slate for a while. We will have a huge slate for Friday next week with many rivalry games taking place on the day after Thanksgiving. Then comes conference championship week and bowl games. Let's enjoy this one!

We begin our Friday night in Texas again with South Florida heading to San Antonio to take on the Roadrunners. We close out on the Palouse with Colorado taking on the Cougars as the Pac-12 tries to make the most of its final moments. This is going to be a fun one!

In this article, I will be providing you with my daily fantasy college football lineup picks for DraftKings on 11/17/23, locking at 9:00 PM Eastern. I’ll provide multiple player suggestions at quarterback, running back, and wide receiver, aiming to highlight one option at the high, middle, and lower end of the salary scale. Good luck, RotoBallers.

DraftKings CFB DFS Picks - Quarterbacks

Cameron Ward, Washington State ($8,000)

Many things are wrong with the Cougars, but Cameron Ward is not one of those things. Washington State has been a little less predictable in the last couple of weeks, but against Colorado, it won't matter. Their pass defense, despite having Shilo Sanders and Travis Hunter, continues to struggle. Ward may not be the most talented player on this slate, but he has the best matchup and is on a team that will let him throw 50 times a game.

Byrum Brown, South Florida ($7,400)

This is one of those rare slates where all four quarterbacks are good enough to use and all of them are in favorable situations. What sets Brown apart is his rushing prowess. Brown has 659 rushing yards and nine touchdowns on the season. That's more than most running backs in this conference! Brown isn't the safest play, but he is the only player in DFS that has three games of 44 or more DraftKings points. How's that for a ceiling?

Also consider: Shedeur Sanders, Colorado ($8,700)

DraftKings CFB DFS Picks - Running Backs

Kevorian Barnes, UTSA ($6,600)

Both Rocko Griffin and Robert Henry ran well in the absence of Barnes last week, but neither of them has the explosiveness that Barnes does. South Florida's run defense is by far the worst on the slate. We don't know what was wrong with Barnes, so it's hard to say if he will be limited or not. Given that he is listed atop the depth chart, we have to assume that Barnes will get a heavier share of the carries.

Nay'Quan Wright, South Florida ($5,300)

Wright may be the best bargain on the entire slate. He has had a couple of monster games this season. The floor is relatively low, but Wright hasn't turned in less than eight DraftKings points since the disaster against UAB in Week 6. That's an acceptable floor for a guy at this price with an upside that reaches into the 30s.

Also consider: Robert Henry, UTSA ($5,400); Djouvensky Schlenbaker, Washington State ($3,500)

DraftKings CFB DFS Picks - Wide Receivers

Lincoln Victor, Washington State ($6,300)

Victor's eight receptions last week were his fewest since Week 7 against Arizona. That's how heavily involved he is in the Washington State offense. That's a floor of eight points before you factor in any of the yards or touchdowns. Victor might be the safest player on the entire slate, and he's still surprisingly affordable.

Joshua Cephus, UTSA ($6,000)

A healthy Frank Harris has done wonders for Cephus. He has at least four receptions in every game this year and has at least six in all but two of those games. He's not the game-breaker that Zakhari Franklin was, nor does he have the blazing speed of De'Corian Clark. What Cephus does have is very good hands to move the ball down the field. It's not like he's slow either. He ripped off an 84-yard touchdown against East Carolina a couple of weeks ago. Cephus is another sure thing at receiver even if he doesn't have quite the volume that Victor does.

Sean Atkins, South Florida ($5,600)

Atkins has at least seven receptions in five straight games, which is around the time that Byrum Brown really started to get going. Last week against Temple was his only 100+ yard game and his only touchdown in that span was against Memphis two weeks ago. Still, there are a lot of receivers on this slate who pick up big-time points on receptions alone. I'm highlighting another one of them.

Also consider: Xavier Weaver, Colorado ($6,800); Josh Kelly, Washington State ($5,900); Jaden Alexis, South Florida ($3,600)

DraftKings CFB Stacks

Washington State

This is going to be a very popular stack, but I have your place to get different: Djouvensky Schlenbaker. Schlenbaker has out-touched Nakia Watson by a large amount in each of the last two games. The Washington State backs don't usually get a ton of work, but run defense is where Colorado is the weakest. It would do the Cougars well to attack that. Pair Schlenbaker with the Ward/Victor chalk to get a leg up on the competition. I really like Josh Kelly too if you can afford him.

Also consider: Colorado, South Florida
