Florida Panthers goaltender Spencer Knight has been loaned to the AHL's Charlotte Checkers for the start of the 2023-24 season. The 22-year-old hasn't played for the Panthers since February, having taken time off to work on his mental health. Knight, who has a 32-17-6 career record in the NHL, recently admitted that he had been diagnosed with obsessive-compulsive disorder. Panthers head coach Paul Maurice noted that Knight looked "fantastic" in training camp, but the team wants him to be in a situation where he can play regularly as a No. 1 option between the sticks. With Knight in the minors, the Panthers are set to lean heavily on Sergei Bobrovsky, with Anthony Stolarz taking the backup position.--Taavi Pailk - RotoBallerRead More News
