Columbus Blue Jackets defenseman Zach Werenski is fully healed from shoulder surgery and very excited to start life under new head coach Mike Babcock. "My shoulder's all good, pretty much full go since summer hit, so it's good to have a full summer (of training) under my belt," Werenski said on Tuesday. The 26-year-old got injured early on last term and underwent season-ending surgery for a torn labrum and separated shoulder after playing in just 13 games. He returns to action with a new man in charge of the team and Werenski can't wait to get started under Babcock following a face-to-face meeting. "I got to know him a little bit, and you know, I left impressed," Werenski said. "That kind of fired me up. I think from that point on I just want to get to training camp to get the season going." Werenski has totaled 245 points (79 goals, 166 assists) in 416 career games, and he could be set for a big campaign if he can finally stay clear of injuries. The talented blue-liner hasn't even hit 70 games in four consecutive seasons.--Taavi Pailk - RotoBaller
