With the win, the team has moved to 38-38, placing them 8th in the Eastern Conference. So far this season, they have gone 22-16 at home and 16-22 on the road. The Hawks have failed to cover the spread in two straight games and have an overall ATS record of 34-41.

Not only that, but they enter today's game averaging 127 points per game over their last five games. Atlanta has used pace to their advantage this season, averaging 100.7 possessions per game, which is the 9th most in the league. This up-tempo style has made up for a three-point field goal percentage of 35.5% (20th). In terms of getting to the free-throw line, the Hawks are 22nd in the NBA in attempts while connecting at a rate of 81.7%.

Some key factors behind the Hawks' struggles this year is their inconsistent defensive rebounding and inability to force turnovers. So far, they are 23rd in defensive rebounds per game and 27th in forced turnovers at 27th per game. Overall, Atlanta is allowing 112.4 points per game, placing them 25th in the NBA. Opposing teams have hit 36.4% of their three-point field goal attempts against the Hawks and 47.2 of their shots overall.

Brooklyn Nets - NBA Betting Analysis

The Nets enter today's game looking to build some momentum after a 123-114 win over the Rockets. Cameron Johnson and his 31 led the way for the Nets. Heading into their previous matchup against the Rockets, the Nets were favored by -10.5, giving them an ATS loss.

With the win, the team has moved to 41-35, placing them 6th in the Eastern Conference. So far this season, they have gone 20-16 at home and 21-19 on the road. For the season, the Nets are 39-36 vs. the spread but have failed to cover in 2 straight games.

In their last five games, the Nets have averaging 116 points per contest which is similar to their season average. Overall, Brooklyn is ranked 18th in the league with a scoring average of 113.5 points per game. Brooklyn's three-point shooting numbers have been impressive this year, ranking 5th in the NBA with a shooting percentage of 38.1%. However, their overall numbers have suffered from an average pace of 97.9 possessions per game, which is just 22nd. Their current field goal percentage of 48.9% is 5th in the league.

On the defensive end of the floor, the Nets have allowed opponents to shoot 47.2% from the field and are allowing 112.4 points per game (13th). From beyond the arc, team's are shooting 36.4%. Throughout the season, Brooklyn's defensive unit has struggled to force turnovers, averaging just 13.0 per contest, placing them 11th in the league. In addition, they have had problems on the defensive glass, entering today's game 23rd in defensive rebounds per contest.

Today's NBA Betting Pick - Hawks vs. Nets

The Nets currently have the leg up in this year's season series against the Hawks. Across three games, the Nets have a record of 2-1. The last head-to-head showdown between the teams ended in a 120-116 win for the Nets. Brooklyn also covered the spread as the 7.5 point favorite. The over/under line going into the game was 233.0, which they surpassed.

In the Hawks' previous five games as the favorite, they have a straight up record of 0-5 while going 2-3 against the spread. Across their last three road games, they are 2-1 ATS and 1-2 straight up. Their previous ten games have an over/under mark of 4-6 with an average of 245 points per contest.

Across Brooklyn's last five games at home, they have an ATS mark of 3-2 while going 3-2 straight-up. As the favorite, the Nets are 2-1 straight up on an average scoring differential of 5 points per game. This has led to an ATS mark of 1-2. Their previous ten games have ended in an average of 230 points per game and an over/under mark of 6-4.

Recommended ATS Betting Pick: ATL +1

Recommended OU Betting Pick: Under 241.5
