DraftKings College Basketball DFS Lineup Picks for 1/25/23 - CBB Daily Fantasy Advice

CBB DFS lineup picks DraftKings NCAA daily college fantasy basketball

Today's DraftKings college basketball DFS lineup picks for 1/25/23. Mike Marteny's CBB daily fantasy advice and lineup sleepers to help you win on DraftKings.

We have another dozen games going on (for DraftKings purposes, anyway) on our Wednesday night. The early tip gives us Xavier heading to Hartford to take on UConn. The 7 pm window gives us Georgia up in Knoxville. Northwestern heads down to The Vault to take on Nebraska. Wisconsin heads to Maryland to take on the Turtles. Wake is in Pitt to take on the Panthers. West Virginia heads down to Lubbock to face Texas Tech. We also have Houston in Orlando to take on UCF.

We have to wait until 8:30 for the next tip in Providence when Butler comes to town. We close this out with four 9 pm tips. We have Mississippi State in Tuscaloosa. We have A&M on the Plains to face Auburn. Indiana heads to Minneapolis to take on the Gophers. We end in Omaha with St. John's visiting the Birdcage against Creighton. This is going to be fun!

In this article, I will be providing you with my daily fantasy college basketball lineup picks for DraftKings on 1/25/23, starting at 6:30 pm Eastern. I’ll provide multiple player suggestions at guard and forward, aiming to highlight one option at the high, middle, and lower end of the salary scale. Good luck, RotoBallers.

DraftKings CBB DFS Guards

Bryce Hopkins, Providence ($9,000)

Hopkins picked up his third consecutive double-double against DePaul over the weekend. The fourth is a distinct possibility against Butler with the way Hopkins has been scoring. He only has 31 rebounds in those three games, so he needs to stay aggressive on the glass. With the minutes that Hopkins plays and as large of a role as he plays in this offense, he's a must for cash games.

Jahmir Young, Maryland ($8,100)

Young has missed all 11 shots from beyond the arc over the last two games and has still scored 73.5 DraftKings points. He puts up big time peripheral stats and has scored in double figures in six consecutive games despite inefficient shooting from beyond the arc. When his shot starts falling again, Young is going to put up some big numbers. It's just a matter of when that happens. His peripheral numbers are good enough for me to chase the upside in a plus matchup against the Badgers.

Cameron Hildreth, Wake Forest ($7,100)

When a guy still nearly posts a double-double on a stout Virginia defense, I take notice. Hildreth has at least 30 DraftKings points in five straight games after a disastrous foul-plagued mess against North Carolina three weeks ago. It may as well have been three years ago with the way Hildreth has played since. His defensive numbers are way up and he has averaged 19 points per game in that span.

Tyreke Key, Tennessee ($4,300)

Key made his return against LSU and racked up 21.75 DraftKings points in just 18 minutes of court time. He often started for the Vols before the recent absence, and judging by the way he looked against LSU, Key is ready to reclaim his role. If he does, he's a huge bargain at this price. Even if Key plays good minutes off the bench, he'll hit value for this price. There's a lot of potential here.

Also consider: Marcus Sasser, Houston ($8,500); Jamarius Burton, Pittsburgh ($8,300); Devin Carter, Providence ($8,000); Wendell Green, Auburn ($7,600); Boo Buie, Northwestern ($7,000); Pop Isaacs, Texas Tech ($6,200); Allen Flanigan, Auburn ($6,100); Brandon Suggs, Central Florida ($4,900); Brooks Barnhizer, Northwestern ($4,300)

DraftKings CBB DFS Forwards

Trayce Jackson-Davis, Indiana ($11,000)

TJD is still carrying the Hoosiers. He has at least 50 DraftKings points in five of the six games Indiana has played in the 2023 calendar year. In the "miss" against Penn State, TJD still racked up 37.25 DraftKings points. He's the safest option by far, which makes him ideal in cash games. With him producing at or near 6x value (two of those games are over 65 DraftKings points), he's viable in GPP formats as well.

Joel Soriano, St. John's ($9,200)

Forward isn't like last night. It's weak outside of the very top options. Soriano has notched a double-double in 17 of the 20 games this year, including each of the last six contests. Creighton has some size, but they don't always use it. Soriano is much more aggressive on the glass than Kaluma or Kalkbrenner, so he should still excel at grabbing rebounds. We have seen both teams get up and down the court this year, so I don't see a problem with Soriano's 16.4 points per game average either.

Taylor Hendricks, Central Florida ($7,900)

Hendricks put up a respectable 27.75 DraftKings points in the first meeting with Houston. That was despite an inefficient shooting night from beyond the arc. Hendricks has found his shot since, scoring in double figures in every game since and shooting above 60% a couple of times. You'll likely be on an island running UCF players against a team like Houston, which makes Hendricks viable in GPPs. He has at least 32 DraftKings points in three straight games, so I'll gamble on the hot hand.

Pharrel Payne, Minnesota ($5,300)

Jamison Battle is the better scorer, but Payne's floor is higher because he does so much on the defensive end. I would like to see him take more shots, but I prefer the floor on Payne for $700 cheaper in what could be a rough-and-tumble game against an Indiana team that is finally starting to get healthy.

Also consider: Zach Freemantle, Xavier ($8,400); Ryan Kalkbrenner, Creighton ($8,300); Derrick Walker, Nebraska ($7,800); Arthur Kaluma, Creighton ($6,700); Alex Karaban, Connecticut ($6,100); Braelen Bridges, Georgia ($5,000); Malik Reneau, Indiana ($4,000); William McNair, Mississippi State ($3,700)
