DraftKings College Basketball DFS Lineup Picks for 1/3/23 - CBB Daily Fantasy Advice

Oscar Tshiebwe daily college fantasy basketball CFB DFS picks March Madness

Today's DraftKings college basketball DFS lineup picks for 1/3/23. Mike Marteny's CBB daily fantasy advice and lineup sleepers to help you win on DraftKings.

We have a nice eight-game slate on our Tuesday night with plenty of conference action. The early tip features the Johnnies hosting Marquette. 7 pm brings a bulk of the action with Mississippi State in Knoxville, South Carolina in Nashville, Syracuse heading to Louisville, and Notre Dame climbing Chestnut Hill to take on Boston College.

The only 8 pm tip features LSU at Rupp Arena to take on Kentucky. We finish this off with Seton Hall heading to the Birdcage in Omaha (maybe...the weather may have something to say about that) to take on Creighton. This is going to be a good one!

In this article, I will be providing you with my daily fantasy college basketball lineup picks for DraftKings on 1/3/23, starting at 6:30 pm Eastern. I’ll provide multiple player suggestions for players at guard and forward, aiming to highlight one option at the high, middle, and lower end of the salary scale. Good luck, RotoBallers.

DraftKings CBB DFS Guards

A.J. Hoggard, Michigan State ($7,700)

Hoggard isn't the elite scorer on this team, but he is an underrated passer and a good rebounder. That means his fantasy points are largely repeatable. Hoggard has at least 26 DraftKings points in eight straight games. Nebraska has turned some heads with some big wins this year and are always a threat to pull the upset. Even if they do, Hoggard should at least flirt with 30 again.

Tyler Kolek, Marquette ($7,100)

Kam Jones is the guy that can light up the scoreboard, but I will argue that Kolek still has the higher ceiling. Kolek has scored eight points in the last two games combined but still has 51 DraftKings points. That's how great his peripheral stats are. Kolek racked up 29 points on Providence in the track meet back on December 20 and nearly dropped 50 DraftKings points because he still did everything else that he usually does. That's the kind of upside I want. The high floor is just a bonus.

Makai Ashton-Langford, Boston College ($5,200)

Boston College put Langford back into the starting lineup on December 21 against Virginia Tech. In the games against Tech and Syracuse, he racked up 67.75 DraftKings points in 71 minutes. He is way too cheap for the run he is getting. Even if the Irish lock him down, Ashton-Langford will still get enough peripheral stats to pay off this price. He might be the best bargain on the entire slate.

Stevie Mitchell, Marquette ($4,300)

Mitchell has played at least 28 minutes in each of the last two games and put up 66.25 DraftKings points in the process. In Saturday's game against Villanova, Mitchell dumped in 19 points before he fouled out. That likely represents his ceiling, but if he's getting me 20 DraftKings points at this price, that's a value play I'll ride in any format.

Also consider: Kadary Richmond, Seton Hall ($7,800); Joe Girard, Syracuse ($7,000); Sam Griesel, Nebraska ($6,500); Trey Wertz, Notre Dame ($5,800); Dre Davis, Seton Hall ($5,100); Cam Hayes, LSU ($4,800); DeMarr Langford, Boston College ($4,000)

DraftKings CBB DFS Forwards

Oscar Tshiebwe, Kentucky ($10,400)

Another game, another dominating performance by Oscar. Tshiebwe scored more than 22 points for the second straight game while hauling in 33 rebounds. He is like Andre Drummond except a better free throw shooter...well...and regular shooter too. Tshiebwe is now averaging more than 40 DraftKings points per game this season. You get what you pay for. Something can be said for that.

Gregory Jackson, South Carolina ($8,000)

It's hard to believe that Jackson is only a freshman. His game feels far more polished. He has been a constant double-double threat lately. He might find the going a little tougher now that the Gamecocks are jumping into SEC play, but I still think Jackson can hold his own. We have no reason to believe that he can't.

Jonas Aidoo, Tennessee ($5,000)

Aidoo has played more minutes in the last half of December and has responded with 22 rebounds in 48 minutes over the last two games. He's a solid scorer and pretty good at protecting the rim. If this recent uptick in minutes is a lasting trend, I'm a big fan of Aidoo. Right now, I still view him as a GPP-only play. His big minutes in a close game against Ole Miss to close out 2022 is encouraging though.

Prince Aligbe, Boston College ($4,200)

Aligbe's role has grown over the last couple of games for the Eagles. Those are the first two games since the opener in which Aligbe has played more than 20 minutes. He needs to improve his shooting to stick in the rotation, but his solid rebounding coupled with the shot volume is enough of a reason to take a chance on him in GPPs. He should do enough to provide a steady floor.

Also consider: Joel Soriano, St. John's  ($9,300); David Jones, St. John's ($7,800); Liam Robbins, Vanderbilt ($7,500); Arthur Kaluma, Creighton ($6,500); Benny Williams, Syracuse ($6,200); Jacob Toppin, Kentucky ($5,800); Keshawn Murphy, Mississippi State ($4,600); Wilhelm Breidenbach, Nebraska ($3,300)
