Steven Adams is worth considering as a fantasy basketball waiver wire pickup heading into Week 8 of the 2022-23 NBA season.

ANALYSIS: See, this is very simple: 21 games played, 21 games started, 27 MPG on average. That is a reason good enough to have Adams rostered in any and every ESPN league out there, but for some reason, fantasy GMs have yet to catch up in more than half of ESPN-land.
Adams has stayed put in the starting C slot of the Grizzlies without and (now) with Jaren Jackson Jr. back fit, available, and playing nightly. That was always the expectation, obviously, and won't change any time soon nor ROS.
The Kiwi has grabbed at least 10 boards in six consecutive games while scoring in double digits on three of those six occasions. From Nov. 20 on, Adams is averaging a ridiculous 11-12 per-game line to go with 2+ APG, 1+ SPG, and 1 BPG.
That type of production is unsustainable over the remainder of the season, of course. On the full year to date, only six players are averaging a 10-10-2 line and just Anthony Davis is adding 1 SPG (and 2+ BPG) to that.
Even then, though, the hot streak is looking absurd these days so you better add and start Steven Adams while you can.
