2024 NFL QB Power Rankings: All 32 Starting Quarterbacks for Week 8

Russell Wilson - Fantasy Football Rankings, Draft Sleepers, NFL Injury News

Quincy Milton ranks all 32 starting NFL quarterbacks for Week 8 of the 2024 season. From Lamar Jackson to whoever the Browns start, see where your favorite quarterback falls.

There were studs and there were duds in Week 7. Quarterbacks we love such as C.J. Stroud and Brock Purdy fell flat on their faces. However, others such as Jared Goff showed out once again.

Our beloved rookie class had a quiet week as Jayden Daniels went down with an injury and Caleb Williams was on a bye, but Drake Maye continues to demonstrate that he may be here to stay for a long time.

As usual, it is time to nit-pick these performances. There will be some movement up and down the rankings this week. Let's dive in and see where everyone sits heading into Week 8.

Be sure to check all of our fantasy football rankings for 2025:

1. Lamar Jackson - Baltimore Ravens

Lamarvelous Jackson is garnering MVP chants with everything he does in 2024. Jackson has reached a whole other level in 2024 that far exceeds his 2023 season. With his latest trick, Jackson threw for five touchdown passes on Monday Night Football.

2. Josh Allen - Buffalo Bills

Through one half of play, it looked like Allen was going to post another dud in Week 7. However, he tabled those concerns en route to 323 passing yards and two touchdowns. The Bills continue to roll and now Allen has a fun new toy in wide receiver Amari Cooper.

3. Joe Burrow - Cincinnati Bengals

Burrow had a mediocre game by his lofty standards in Week 7 but it was enough to propel the Bengals to victory. Burrow finished with 181 passing yards and two touchdowns. He had a QBR of only 36.7 but the Bengals are scratching their way back to 500.

4. Jared Goff - Detroit Lions

Goff is so back. He followed up his 315-yard and three-touchdown performance with a 280-yard and two-touchdown performance against an excellent Vikings defense. This Lions team is looking scarier and scarier as each week goes on, especially with Goff playing like this.

5. Patrick Mahomes - Kansas City Chiefs

Mahomes was pretty bad as a passer in Week 7, but he did enough with his legs to propel the Chiefs to victory. His 33-yard scramble in the fourth quarter set up a touchdown in which he trucked his way into the end zone. Still, Mahomes has not thrown a touchdown pass since Week 4. Surely he won't finish the season with less than 20 touchdown passes?

6. C.J. Stroud - Houston Texans

Stroud just had arguably the worst game of his short career. He went 10-of-21 for 86 yards. 86! It is hard to fathom how bad the Texans passing offense was in Week 7. If anything, this is simply a blip in the Matrix. Expect Stroud to deliver in Week 8.

7. Brock Purdy - San Francisco 49ers

After a flawless Week 6, Purdy threw three interceptions in Week 7. The Chiefs dominated the 49ers and the score was much closer than the game was. Purdy now enters Week 9 down Brandon Aiyuk and Christian McCaffrey. It is almost panic time in San Francisco.

8. Jalen Hurts - Philadelphia Eagles

Hurts was not necessary in a Saquon Barkley-led win for the Eagles over the Giants in Week 7. However, Hurts was highly efficient passing and threw for 114 yards and a touchdown. He added two touchdowns at the goal line with his legs. Hurts is continuing to trend up as the season wears on.

9. Jordan Love - Green Bay Packers

Love is turning the ball over at an alarming rate (15:8 touchdown:interception ratio) but he has been special otherwise. He continues to throw multiple touchdown passes in every game and rack up large yardage totals. If Love can cut down on the interceptions, then the league better be on watch for this team.

10. Jayden Daniels - Washington Commanders

Daniels looked like he was on his way to dominating the Panthers before he had to leave the game in the first quarter due to a rib injury. It is unfortunate given how well he had been playing. However, hopefully, he can get back on the field for a huge tilt against the Chicago Bears in Week 8.

11. Baker Mayfield - Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Mayfield had another huge statistical output in Week 7 against the Ravens but it was dampened by two interceptions. However, his 370 passing yards were a season high. Mayfield is trending down now that he has to contend with the loss of Mike Evans for several weeks and Chris Godwin for the remainder of the season.

12. Dak Prescott - Dallas Cowboys

Prescott and the Cowboys had a bye in Week 7 after being exposed by the Lions in Week 6. They will look to get back on track in Week 8 against a 49ers team that is battling serious adversity at this point in the season.

13. Geno Smith - Seattle Seahawks

So it turns out that Geno Smith is still capable of throwing multiple touchdown passes in a game. Smith led the Seahawks to a dominant victory that featured contributions from both sides of the ball in Week 7. This is how the Seahawks will need to play to continue winning throughout the season.

14. Sam Darnold - Minnesota Vikings

Week 7 allowed us to get a look at Sam Darnold in a negative game script. He could not do quite enough to bring the Vikings back in this game but it was an encouraging performance for Vikings fans. Darnold finished the game with 259 passing yards, one touchdown, and one interception. The Lions needed a last-second field goal to win.

15. Kirk Cousins - Atlanta Falcons

After two huge games in back-to-back weeks, Cousins was completely stifled by a frisky Seahawks defense in Week 7. Cousins turned the ball over three times and looked extremely uncomfortable in the pocket by the end of the game. While the loss is not all on him, he certainly did nothing to lead this team to victory.

16. Kyler Murray - Arizona Cardinals

Murray continues to be underwhelming in 2024, but his Week 7 performance was enough to get the Cardinals a win. This game featured a defensive stand as the Cardinals held the Chargers to 15 points.

17. Justin Herbert - Los Angeles Chargers

Herbert just had a passing yard explosion in Week 7. He turned back the clock en route to 349 passing yards. Still, it was not enough to earn a win as Herbert did not throw any passing touchdowns.

18. Russell Wilson - Pittsburgh Steelers

Mr. Unlimited started slow but got hot in his first start as a Pittsburgh Steeler. Wilson led an utter domination of the New York Jets. He did not turn the ball over and accounted for three touchdowns. Head coach Mike Tomlin continues to show that he knows better than everyone else.

19. Matthew Stafford - Los Angeles Rams

Stafford continues to slog through the absence of Cooper Kupp and Puka Nacua, but the Rams finally got back in the winning column in Week 7 against the Las Vegas Raiders. Stafford only threw for 154 yards and an interception but it was enough to get the job done. However, keep an eye on his weaponry with trade rumors swirling around Kupp.

20. Caleb Williams - Chicago Bears

Williams and the Bears enjoyed a bye week in Week 7. Before the vacation, Williams had strung together two straight excellent weeks. He will look to carry that momentum into a Week 8 clash with the Commanders.

21. Trevor Lawrence - Jacksonville Jaguars

We are finally starting the see the version of Trevor Lawrence that earned a lucrative contract extension this past offseason. The Jaguars had this game well in hand, but Lawrence completed 75% of his passes for 193 yards and a touchdown. This team is still in play in the AFC South if it can string together a few solid wins.

22. Aaron Rodgers - New York Jets

Rodgers looked washed up again in Week 7 against the Steelers. While one of his interceptions was not his fault, he continues to fail to lead a downfield offensive attack. His best buddy Davante Adams only caught three of nine targets as well. Perhaps that chemistry is a little rusty.

23. Anthony Richardson - Indianapolis Colts

Richardson continues to do enough to stay neutral on this list. He completed less than 50% of his passes yet again en route to only 129 passing yards. He did add 56 yards with his legs, but if the Colts had played against a competent offense, then they surely would have lost this game. Still, they sit at 4-3 heading into Week 8.

24. Drake Maye - New England Patriots

It is safe to say that Maye projects to be pretty good. Through two NFL starts, his mobility is apparent and his arm talent is notable. He threw for 276 yards and two touchdowns in a losing effort. However, he has moved the inept Patriots offense much more effectively than Jacoby Brissett did to start the season.

25. Bo Nix - Denver Broncos

Nix put together another respectable game as the Broncos had no problem taking care of the Saints in Week 7. Nix seems to have found a groove using his legs as he has rushed for 136 yards in the last two games combined.

26. Daniel Jones - New York Giants

Jones was completely shut down in Week 7 despite having his full complement of weapons back on the field. After only throwing for 99 yards for most of the game, Jones was pulled in favor of Drew Lock to provide a spark to the offense. However, Jones will remain the starter for now.

27. Tyler Huntley - Miami Dolphins

The Dolphins are hoping that Tua Tagovailoa returns in Week 8, but for now, Huntley is still listed as the starter. Huntley is battling a shoulder injury of unknown severity and was replaced by Tim Boyle in Week 7. Before exiting the game, Huntley had thrown for 87 yards and a touchdown.

28. Mason Rudolph - Tennessee Titans

With Will Levis nursing a shoulder injury, NFL fans are going to get a multiple-week look at what Rudolph can do in this offense. Through at least one week, the results are not great. Rudolph threw for 215 yards, a touchdown, and an interception. Then again, Levis only threw for more than 200 yards once this season.

29. Andy Dalton - Carolina Panthers

Dalton and the Panthers offense have turned completely inept now that the initial spark of starting Dalton has dwindled. Dalton only threw for 93 passing yards and added two more interceptions. There is not much to be excited about in Carolina right now.

30. Gardner Minshew II - Las Vegas Raiders

Minshew Mania is back for Raiders fans, even if it is not what they want. After Aidan O'Connell went down with a broken thumb, Minshew entered the game and proceeded to throw three interceptions. It looks like the Raiders are well on their way to drafting a quarterback in 2025.

31. Spencer Rattler - New Orleans Saints

Playing without most of his weapons and behind a porous offensive line proved to be too tall of a task for the rookie Rattler in Week 7 against the Denver Broncos. He left the game with a hip injury but is expected to remain the starter if he is healthy and Derek Carr has to miss another week.

32. Jameis Winston - Cleveland Browns

It is Jameis Winston time in Cleveland. With Deshaun Watson out for the season and Dorian Thompson-Robinson nursing an injured finger, multiple outlets are reporting that the Browns plan to start Winston against the Baltimore Ravens in Week 8. The former No. 1 overall pick in the NFL Draft actually might be an upgrade over Watson (who was ranked 32nd in last week's QB Power Rankings), but he's a turnover-prone gunslinger stepping into a difficult situation.
