2024 NFL QB Power Rankings: All 32 Starting Quarterbacks for Week 3

Joe Burrow - Fantasy Football Rankings, NFL Injury News, DFS and Betting Picks

Quincy Milton ranks all 32 starting NFL quarterbacks for Week 3 of the 2024 season. From Patrick Mahomes to Malik Willis, see where your favorite quarterback falls.

Good quarterback play was back in Week 2 after a dumbfounding Week 1. Joe Burrow, C.J. Stroud, and Kyler Murray were among the standouts in Week 2.

Even so, we are still waiting for an explosion from some of the league's best. Notably, Patrick Mahomes has yet to throw for over 300 yards in a game this season.

As we head into Week 3, look for the quarterback play to continue to improve. Let's dive in and see where everyone stands in the power rankings.

Be sure to check all of our fantasy football rankings for 2025:

1. Patrick Mahomes - Kansas City Chiefs

Mahomes holds his top spot on this list in Week 3. However, Josh Allen is right behind him given the lackluster performance of Mahomes in Week 2. Mahomes was not his usual self in Week 2 and threw two costly interceptions. He was still good enough to get the Chiefs a win over the rival Bengals.

2. Josh Allen - Buffalo Bills

Allen was barely needed in a game in which running back James Cook ran all over the Dolphins defense. He finished the week with modest numbers as the Bills coasted to victory. Sometimes that is all that is needed to win in the NFL, so Allen deserves to stay at No. 2.

3. C.J. Stroud - Houston Texans

Stroud was not his most efficient in Week 2 but he played another clean game. This guy just does not throw interceptions and the Texans came out with another win. Still, Stroud has way more room to fully break out once the Texans figure out how to use all their weapons in tandem.

4. Joe Burrow - Cincinnati Bengals

"Joe Cool" is back. The wrist injury that had football fans worried did not appear to hamper Burrow against the Chiefs in Week 2. Burrow squarely outplayed Mahomes in a back-and-forth affair that ended in a Cincinnati loss. Burrow deserves to climb this list after throwing for 258 yards and two touchdowns in a valiant effort.

5. Lamar Jackson - Baltimore Ravens

Jackson and the Ravens squandered a fourth-quarter lead to the Raiders in Week 2. Jackson only accounted for one touchdown and the Raiders made an effort to contain his rushing output. As such, Jackson had to drop a couple of points down this list.

6. Jalen Hurts - Philadelphia Eagles

Hurts was awesome in Week 2 until an interception on the Eagles' final drive ended the game. Hurts was in a tough situation with a short clock and needing to make something happen. Otherwise, his improvement in Week 2 was mighty and will hopefully continue.

7. Kyler Murray - Arizona Cardinals

Murray was stellar in Week 2. The Cardinals dismantled the Rams as Murray threw for 266 yards and three touchdowns along with 56 rushing yards. He has earned the right to leapfrog several quarterbacks on this list.

8. Brock Purdy - San Francisco 49ers

Purdy looked completely out of sync in Week 2. He did manage to throw for 319 yards and a touchdown but he added an interception and a lost fumble. Purdy and the 49ers will look to get back on track in Week 3 without Christian McCaffrey or Deebo Samuel Sr.

9. Dak Prescott - Dallas Cowboys

Prescott was quiet yet again in Week 2. The Saints throttled the Cowboys in every facet of the game. The Cowboys offense has not enjoyed the same success they did in 2023 and Prescott has suffered as a result.

10. Baker Mayfield - Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Mayfield was modest statistically in Week 2 but he did enough to get the Buccaneers a win. He threw for under 200 yards but accounted for two total touchdowns. Mayfield's 2023 season does not appear to have been a fluke.

11. Geno Smith - Seattle Seahawks

Smith was back in Week 2. He posted a 75% completion percentage on his way to 327 passing yards and a touchdown. Smith carved up the Patriots defense all day, which has propelled him up the power rankings.

12. Matthew Stafford - Los Angeles Rams

Stafford had a rough outing against the Cardinals in Week 2. Now without his top targets in Cooper Kupp and Puka Nacua, Stafford is going to have to make something out of nothing.

13. Jared Goff - Detroit Lions

Goff was frankly pretty bad in Week 2. He is a big reason why the Lions lost to the Buccaneers. He will need to be better if the Lions are going to ascend to the heights that they wish to.

14. Kirk Cousins - Atlanta Falcons

Things were not looking great for Cousins until the end of the game on Monday night. He led a go-ahead fourth-quarter drive in under two minutes with no timeouts. This offense is starting to hum.

15. Justin Herbert - Los Angeles Chargers

Herbert did not have to do much for the Chargers to win in Week 2. He has yet to throw for 200 yards in a game as the Chargers have ridden their running game to victory. With some tougher games coming up, look for Herbert to boost his output.

16. Derek Carr - New Orleans Saints

Carr continues to rise up this list as the Saints continue to blow teams out. The Saints' Week 2 opponent was a legitimate contender in the Cowboys. Carr looks the best he has maybe ever looked in his NFL career. Time will tell if this will continue.

17. Aaron Rodgers - New York Jets

Rodgers was not his old self in Week 2 but he was better than he was in Week 1. Rodgers has not unlocked the potential of wide receiver Garrett Wilson yet, so it remains to be seen if the needle can point farther up for Rodgers.

18. Sam Darnold - Minnesota Vikings

It turns out that in a competent offense, all that talent Darnold displayed on his way into the league can thrive. Darnold has done everything the Vikings need to win so far in 2024. A big test lies ahead with Houston coming to town in Week 3.

19. Trevor Lawrence - Jacksonville Jaguars

Lawrence is just not getting the job done. The Jaguars offense was anemic through three quarters in Week 2 before finally moving the ball in the fourth quarter. Lawrence simply has to be better. He will have a chance to improve in Week 3 against the Bills.

20. Jayden Daniels - Washington Commanders

Daniels is going to get himself seriously hurt if he continues to put his body on the line like he did in Week 2. The Commanders seemed to recognize that and took the ball out of his hands after Daniels got the wind knocked out of him in the middle of the game.

21. Anthony Richardson - Indianapolis Colts

The accuracy issues continue to be a problem for Richardson. In a week in which the Colts failed to hit on a big play, Richardson had a poor statistical output. Through two games, Richardson has only hit 49% of his passes.

22. Justin Fields - Pittsburgh Steelers

Fields was again a solid game manager in Week 2. However, the Steelers offense struggled in the second half. He may have done enough to keep his job over Russell Wilson long term but only time will tell.

23. Jacoby Brissett - New England Patriots

The Patriots passing offense is struggling in 2024 but it is not any fault of Brissett. Rather, the Patriots have very few offensive weapons. Brissett still sits at 10th in the league in QBR despite the loss to the Seahawks in Week 2.

24. Caleb Williams - Chicago Bears

Williams continued to look like a rookie in Week 2 but he had no chance against a relentless Texans pass rush. Williams was sacked seven times and threw his first two interceptions of his career. He will try to shake those struggles in Week 3 against the Colts.

25. Gardner Minshew II - Las Vegas Raiders

Minshew managed to lead the Raiders to a huge win over the Ravens in Week 2. While Minshew was not amazing, he came alive in the second half and helped his team to victory.

26. Deshaun Watson - Cleveland Browns

Watson was markedly better in Week 2. However, the Browns still only managed to score 18 points as a team. If they want to compete in a loaded AFC, then Watson will need to continue to improve.

27. Daniel Jones - New York Giants

Turns out that when you give a quarterback a legitimate weapon (Malik Nabers), then that quarterback gets better. In Week 2, Jones looked more like the player who earned a four-year, $160 million extension in 2023.

28. Will Levis - Tennessee Titans

Levis has looked like a knucklehead through two weeks. His turnovers are costing the Titans games at this point. His talent is apparent but he will need to calm down if the Titans want to start winning.

29. Bo Nix - Denver Broncos

Nix had another tough outing in Week 2 as the Broncos only scored six points. The Broncos coaching staff is going to need to do more to make the game easier on Nix as he continues through his growing pains.

30. Malik Willis - Green Bay Packers

Willis was the consummate game manager in Week 2. He did what was necessary for the Packers as the team elected to run the ball down the Colts' throat.

31. Andy Dalton - Carolina Panthers

Dalton is going to take over as the Panthers quarterback in Week 3. He does not have a lot to work with in the offense but he should provide a spark to a team devoid of any life.

32. Skylar Thompson - Miami Dolphins

The unfortunate injury to Tua Tagovailoa leaves the Dolphins turning to Thompson in Week 3. Thompson has some starting experience but he does not bring a lot of upside to the offense.
