BALLER MOVE: Start in All Leagues
POSITIONAL VALUE: WR17
ANALYSIS: Baltimore Ravens wide receiver Zay Flowers has been a boom-or-bust wide receiver this season. He is the WR30 for the year, averaging 9.5 half-point PPR fantasy points per game. The second-year wide receiver has seen 10 or more targets in three games, averaging 14.1 fantasy points per contest in those matchups.
However, Flowers has had six targets and 5.3 fantasy points in the other two games this year, with both matchups coming in the past three weeks. Yet, many in the fantasy football community believe he is a must-start WR2 in Week 6 because of the matchup against the Washington Commanders.
The Commanders have one of the worst pass defenses in the NFL. They have surrendered 33.8 fantasy points per game to wide receivers, the sixth-most in the league. Washington has given up 10 receiving touchdowns to wide receivers, the most over the first five weeks, surrendering two or more in 60% of their contests.
BALLER MOVE: Sit in most leagues POSITIONAL VALUE: Low-end RB3 ANALYSIS: So, that was a bit of a surprise. Entering Week 1, there were hints that rookie Kaelon Black was second on San Francisco's running back depth chart, but that wasn't fully confirmed until Jordan James was a healthy scratch. Black not only won the […]
BALLER MOVE: Start in all leagues POSITIONAL VALUE: High-end WR2 ANALYSIS: The Jacksonville Jaguars' wide receiver room was one of the most heavily discussed position groups in the fantasy community this offseason. All three wideouts were ranked closely together because some experts punted on the group and preferred not to mess with it, while others […]
BALLER MOVE: Start in all leagues POSITIONAL VALUE: WR3 ANALYSIS: Carolina Panthers wide receiver Jalen Coker (ankle) is dealing with an ankle injury he picked up in Week 1. He suffered it in that game, putting up 33.8 PPR fantasy points and easily crushing all other Panthers pass-catchers in productivity. It was a surprising performance. […]
BALLER MOVE: Start in all leagues POSITIONAL VALUE: Borderline WR2 With Upside ANALYSIS: Detroit Lions wide receiver Jameson Williams has an abnormally high drop rate, which isn't great for his potential to earn more targets in his offense. That might not matter much, though. The Lions have a matchup with the Buffalo Bills coming up, […]
BALLER MOVE: Start in deeper 12+ team leagues POSITIONAL VALUE: Risky WR3 ANALYSIS: Indianapolis Colts wide receiver Alec Pierce broke out last season with 47 catches for 1,003 yards and six touchdowns. In the process, he easily led the NFL in yards per reception (minimum 40 receptions) and was one of its premier deep threats. […]
